Night Moves

Harvest Ale / Wet Hop Ale / Belgian Harvest Ale w/ Roasted Sweet Potatoes

History

Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy a blend of organic wet hops were picked at Bighead Hops for this unique Belgian style harvest ale. Along with the wet hops sweet potatoes were roasted and added to the mash. This is a burnt orange beer with spicy aromas, bright tropical fruit, some underlying earthy tones and light caramel tones. The flavour is full of those big oily wet hops, light fruity esters, caramelized sugar, and spices, while finishing bone dry. Strange how the night moves with autumn closing in.

Tasting Notes

A hazy burnt orange with a white rocky head with aromas of lemon drops, fruity esters, some caramelized sugars, and light earthy tones. The flavour is delicate and complex with notes of caramelized sugar, light citrus, some orange pith, and a big oily mouthfeel that finishes super dry.
