History made it easy to create the perfect breakfast beer by adding a load of fresh ground coffee from Ashanti Coffee Estate, Collingwood’s local coffee roaster. Lactose is unfermentable by brewer’s yeast creating a smooth, creamy mouthfeel of mingling natural coffee, chocolate and roast flavours from the malts. A beer for those who wake up early …or stay up a little late.
An opaque beer with a thick tan head. The aroma is fresh ground coffee, unsweetened cocoa, and hints of vanilla. The flavour is a rich mocha flavoured coffee, lots of lingering cocoa, and a light sweet finish, but not too sweet. It is a rich creamy beer with the lactose sugar, but it has the same satisfaction of drinking a fresh brewed cup of coffee.
